THE ART OF XENOVIRUS

ILLUSTRATION, CONCEPT DESIGN AND SCULPTURE

Gabrielle, also known as Xenovirus on social media, is a growing freelance artist trying to find her place in today's art community.  She has dabbled in many different forms of artistic media and loves pursuing her interests and hobbies through her art work.  Gabrielle has sculpted in wax, stoneware clay, oven-bake clay, plastilina clay, plaster, wood, metal, papier-mâché, foam, and more. She has cast in bronze using several different methods, and has welded and used shop machinery and other power tools to create different parts of her work.  She is also familiar with many forms of 2-dimensional art, both traditional and digital.

One of the most involved themes shown in Gabrielle's work relates to the world of science and creature creation.  She loves using the logic of real science to create creature designs that have pseudo-scientific biologies.  Gabrielle works to bring life to impossible creatures by manipulating the familiar traits we see in the creatures of our planet into something new.  As a result, she has slowly begun to create her own science fiction fantasy world inhabited by the creatures she imagines.

Lately, concept design has become the focus of her work as she spends most of her time brainstorming and creating different character, environment, and creature designs that she continues to expand on and experiment with.  Her influences come from all around her and she loves getting invested in extensive projects that bring her imagination to life.

Gabrielle also dabbles in her fair share of fan-art.  She explores a wide variety of fandoms and interests in comics, anime, cartoons, video games, movies, TV, and more.
